Learn To Meditate For Body, Mind And Soul Healing

Meditation is a way to heal your body, mind and soul. We have heard this so many times, but how many of us have actually learnt to meditate and heal our ailments with this method?

When people tell us about a new allopathic medicine or even homeopathic or Ayurvedic medicine that works for a particular illness, we do not hesitate to try them out. We are, however, not open to believing that meditation can actually heal us of many of our illnesses.

For various ailments, you may be surprised to know that meditation offers guaranteed healing. This alternate therapy is also a much neglected form of healing.

Bringing our mind and body in alignment and helping us remain stable and healthy is what healing through meditation is all about.

Achieving total healing for the body through meditation is not a simple process, however. It requires a lot of dedication, and you must first attend a meditation retreat or at least attend any of the good online meditation sessions to learn the basics.

For those who are just beginning to learn to meditate, total healing occurs only after a series of ups and downs.

Holistic healing

Medications prescribed by doctors, work on alleviating symptoms of the ailment. In order to cure conditions from the root, it is imperative to heal holistically working on emotional, mental, as well as spiritual healing.

Healing from past trauma or negative experiences is the only way to comprehensively clear ailments from our system and this healing therapy is possible only through meditation.

Those who have benefited from meditation say that this is an art that promotes all kinds of healing. Apart from enhancing our energy levels, meditation heals the body, mind and spirit.

A person who meditates on a regular basis and has high energy levels in his or her body will not fall sick often, as disease-causing microbes cannot thrive in high energy frequencies.

There are many teachers, spiritual gurus and yoga teachers imparting knowledge to those who want to learn to meditate for healing the body. Right from the basics, they teach you various meditation exercises that are hugely beneficial in the long run.

How to meditate?

No matter which meditation technique you adopt, choose a quiet, peaceful, comfortable corner in your home. Instruct your family members not to disturb you for half an hour or one hour, depending on how long you plan to dedicate to your meditation.

It is important to turn off your cell phones, alarm clocks and any other electronic devices before you start meditating. If you prefer meditating at night, turn off the lights. If meditating during the day, pull down the shades.

Sit in a comfortable position with your back straight. You can sit over a mat on the ground or a chair. With relaxed muscles, exhale and inhale through your nose and remain focused on your breathing, gently noticing the thoughts that arise in your mind.

This is just the beginning. Once you meditate regularly, you will soon be on your way to a healthy, happy, vibrant, joyful life.

If you have anything to share with us on the topic of meditation, kindly feel free to post them in the comments section.
